Last August, the company's “Dilly” robots began delivering limited food items to a mixed-use residential complex in Suwon. They waited at the complex entrance until the person who placed the order came out to retrieve it. Woowa has now partnered with network platform developer HDC I-Controls and Hyundai Elevator to allow Dilly to automatically pass through the front door's security system and enter the building. Once inside, Dilly connects to the building's Hyundai Elevator system, allowing the robot to move automatically between floors. This system, set to go into operation in 2021, allows food orders within the same building to be batched so that the robot can make multiple deliveries in a single trip.
